Job Description:

Ellevate Football Academy is looking for a passionate and committed Football Coach to plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality coaching sessions within our academy programme. This role focuses on developing players' technical, tactical, physical, and psychological abilities while creating a safe, positive, and inspiring environment for players across multiple age groups.


Key Objectives

Design and deliver age-appropriate training sessions following the academy curriculum.

Foster an environment that encourages enjoyment, discipline, teamwork, and personal growth.

Monitor and track player progress using structured assessment tools.

Provide constructive feedback to players and parents and guardians.

Ensure all sessions are conducted safely, adhering to safeguarding and welfare standards.

Represent the academy positively, promoting values of respect, excellence, and unity.

Participate in coach education, workshops, and continuous professional development.

Assist in talent identification and progression pathways.

Support matches, tournaments, and academy events as required.

Build and maintain strong relationships with designated schools, venues, and community partners.

Contribute to marketing efforts to grow the programme, including activities such as distributing pamphlets, community outreach, or direct sourcing of players.


Set of Required Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours

Desired Qualifications

Minimum UEFA coaching licence Level 1 to 3 depending on age group coached

Valid First Aid and Safeguarding Children certificates


Desired Experience

Proven coaching experience with youth and or academy players

Previous coaching experience in academies, clubs, or schools with different ages and ability levels

Experience in planning and delivering structured football programmes

Track record of developing players' skills and progression through age phases

Experience in organising and leading team matches, tournaments, or camps

Exposure to working in multicultural environments and with diverse player backgrounds


Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of football coaching methods for different age groups 5 to 18 plus

Ability to adapt coaching style to suit children, youth, and performance players

Excellent communication and motivational skills with players and parents

Patience, discipline, and the ability to build positive relationships

Organisational skills to plan sessions, matches, and progression pathways

Commitment to continuous professional development

Time management

Relationship management skills

Maintaining confidentiality

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
