Job Description:

ESM is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Relationship Manager to oversee the delivery and development of Sports, Enrichment, and Music programmes across a network of schools. The role is accountable for maximising revenue and utilisation of allocated venues by managing strong internal and external relationships, fulfilling contractual obligations, and identifying opportunities for growth and retention within the Facility Rental department.

You will work closely with schools, internal teams, and external partners to ensure high‑quality programme delivery, operational excellence, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Objectives

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders within allocated venues.
  • Create a cohesive ecosystem to achieve and exceed revenue targets set by senior management. Stakeholders include School Principals, Athletic/Sports Directors, ASA/ECA Coordinators, MSOs, and Parent Relations Executives.
  • Set up and manage changes to the schedule of each facility timetable.
  • Be available remotely (on‑call) for one evening each week to support incident handling and operational escalations if required.
  • Audit and quality assure programmes and support the development of Sports and Enrichment.
  • Work holistically with each allocated venue to achieve the best possible access times and schedule of activities and programmes to enrich students and the local community.
  • Manage and business develop Sports and Enrichment programmes at all venues, including After School Activities, Academies, Events, Holiday Camps, and Adult Facility Rental.
  • Be the core stakeholder of your ecosystem and ensure accountability for all users being considered and serviced to a high standard.
  • Liaise closely with the Facility Rental commercial team for appropriate handover of all onsite bookings.
  • Embrace and meet standard operational and HSE targets as set by senior management.
  • Ensure all activities and programmes adhere to local laws and the rules and regulations of governing bodies.

Set of Required Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree in sports, business, or a similar qualification related to the field
  • Health & Safety Level 3, IOSH, or NEBOSH equivalent

Desired Experience

  • Proven experience in schools, sports, and/or enrichment fields
  • Proven experience in relationship management and customer service
  • Basic experience in administrative roles
  • A passion for sports and enrichment/music activities
